California Central Valley Continues To Be #1 Preferred Source for Agriculture Products
Agricultural growers, producers, brokers, ranchers, and suppliers are invited to introduce their goods to the delegation Friday, December 2, 2011 from 5:30-7:30 pm at the Petroleum Club in Bakersfield, California.
The Business & Entrepreneurship Center (BEC) is hosting a working reception for the U.S.-Algerian Trade Mission buyers to meet California Central Valley agricultural sellers – especially producers of irrigation equipment, sweet corn, animal feed, bulk cheese, walnuts, almonds and dried fruit.
The U.S.-Algeria Business Council, in partnership with the Embassy of Algeria in Washington, DC, will host the Annual U.S.-Algeria Agribusiness Trade Mission to California. This trade mission will be composed of twenty Algerian business executives seeking to purchase: agriculture equipment, food products (dried raisins and nuts), seeds and seedlings, silage and animal feed, irrigation equipment, processed and canned foods, dairy products and equipment from California suppliers.
Many of these delegates already buy from the United States and are seeking to expand their market. The delegates are mass importers who purchase in bulk for redistribution in Algeria and in greater North Africa, to reach the population of around 35 million people. The annual agribusiness trade mission has historically resulted in significant California exports to Algeria.
The U.S.-Algeria Business Council will lead the delegation to the California Central Valley to meet with local producers. Working with the Business & Entrepreneurship Center, US Department of Commerce, and Center for International Trade Development (CITD) the delegates are scheduled to meet with several companies as they make their way through the valley.
